CD # 7, Tree # 2877, CD # 15, Tree # 3465, CD # 19 Tree # 526, CD # 20, Tree # 558, CD # 20, Tree # 557, CD # 7, Tree 2688. You can find these at any local library that has a Heritage Room. Broderbund, 1998. They aren't always complete or correct, but they sure can help you when you get to a dead end. A short summary of what I found: Thomas Dooley- married to Rebeckah had a child Henry D. born abt 1713 in Northern Ireland and died Bef 1773 in Virginia. He married Martha Anderson abt 1734 in Virginia, daughter of Georgia Anderson and Elizabeth Crawford . Henry & Martha Anderson Dooly had 11 children of which one was named James S b 1746 Bedford CO, Va d. June 17, 1824, Columbia, Maury CO. Tn... James married 1. Margaret McKenney 1766 in Richmond, Va. 2. Rachel Moore. Henry and Margaret McKenney had 3 children, James, Jr., William (who changed his name to DULA.), and Catherine. Children of James and Rachel were: Eason B, Parris Furchase, and Sarah Sallie. It goes on and on. I also want to say that there may be other CD's and Trees with your information on them. I may not have checked every Henry Dooley. This is very intriguing to me because we believe our the Dooly name was changed to Dula for about one generation, to be exact, his name was William. I do know that Martha's father George was also born in the Colonies for I find the name there about the same time that I find the Dooley name, not too far from each other. I located this information about two years ago and I have been trying to put it all together. I believe that the children of Robert were Henry, Abraham, Thomas and proberly James but so far none of this is pined down for sure. I was in the Court House in Essex Co and there are many volumns that have not been researched there. I shall however, have to leave it to some of you younger ones to do the rest of the work for I am no longer able to go alone across country and do the work. Lillian in California.

I recently found out that my great-great-great grandmother and grandfather James Tobin and Bridget Doolin Tobin came from there in 1865 to Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania with their daughters Margaret and Mary. I found Bridget's obituary which stated that she had a sister Mrs. Mary Haley who lived in Queens County, Ireland at the time of her death (October 25, 1908). I also found on the LDS site the birth of their daughter Mary Tobin Born July 11, 1865 at Ballickmoyler and Newtown,0517,Laoighis Batch# C701258 as stated by the LDS. John was married to Emaline. Many old residents of English Center noticed that some descendants of John and Emaline showed physical characteristics of Indian blood, along with other traits relating to hunting and fishing skills superior to other native residents.The Dowling family was always superior when it came to outdoor activities. When hunters came to the area (English Center) and wanted guides, the Dowlings and other relatives were the most in demand. John and Emaline Dowling built a house and barn up on a hill above English Center that became known as Dowling Hill and is so marked on the maps today. They cleared land on top of the mountain and began to raise animals and grow crops for their growing family. There is a Dowling Cemetery near the old homestead, but they used ordinary flat stones and if there were any names on them, they have weathered away. It appears tat Emaline was one of the descedants of a family of Indians who originally lived on the isolated mountain top. John had a son Alonzo (1872-1941) Alonzo was married to Nevada Nabal (1876-1936). They had a son who died in a fire that destroyed the Dowling homestead in 1926 . As far as we know none returned to Ireland. We do not know from which part of Ireland the family came from. Norman Edward Dowling (1902-1957) another son of Alonzo, married Clara Alice Carson my mother-in-laws parents! Sorry I got so long winded I enjoy listening to my mother-in-laws family stories.,
