My great grandmother, Mary Magarite Brown, was born in Quebec on Nov 3, 1853. Her parents were Bridget Dowling (born in Ireland in 1817 and Patrick James Brown (born around 1806). They married on Feb 1, 1838 (parish Ballyadams, co Laois). They came to Canada at some point between then and 1850. She died in Saint-Hyacinthe on March 25, 1854. He remarried Lucie Dion in Sept of that same year and is buried in Mansonville, Qc. I would really love to find any information that I can on Bridget Dowling. She seems to be as far back as I can go. Planning to travel to Ireland in 2027, and Id love to visit some of the places that are connected to that part of my family.
