Obituary:- Lola Dowling Wilson passed away October 11, 2004. She was born November 19, 1914, in Waycross Georgia, and moved to Tampa with her parents William Riley and Sarah Ella Dowling as a young child. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 52 years, John P. Wilson and her eldest son Allen. Lola began working at Hav-A-Tampa Cigar Co. In Ybor City in 1931 as a roller and retired in 1976 from the payroll department. She is survived by her sons, Robert "Buddy" and wife Lynda, and Johnny; a daughter-n-Law Mannetta, all of Land O'Lakes, Fla; and her daughter, Kathy Hartley and husband Wade of Blairsville, GA. Lola is also survived by her nine beloved grandchildren, and her 12 great-grandchildren who knew here as "Grandma Darlin." She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Since 1995, Lola has resided ar Lakeshore Villas. The family wished to that the staff at the Inn and the Health CAre Center for the wonderful care they gave Lola. The family will meet with friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday at the GArden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave. Graveside services will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. A memorial service to clelbrate the life of Lola Wilson will be held at the Inn at Lakeshore Villas, 16001 Lakeshore Villa Drive at 21 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice.
