Her father, William Charles Hastings, remarried in 1919.

He was a dentist in Newman Grove.

His obituary states he moved to Newman Grove in 1903.

Allen worked in 1954 as assistant manager of the western division of Ohio National Life Insurance. In 1953 they lived at 5834 Western Ave., in Omaha, NE.

At some later time they moved to California.
