Clara Dowling was my great grandmother. She married John Dawson unknown. My Grandad was supposed to have been born during the 1889 Oklahoma Land Rush. His name was Vern Thomas Dawson. His siblings:
Alson Jaystreeter d. 1947 Yakima WA
Oliver Mert d. Eastern WA
Fred lived in Michigan late 1950's
Daughter, Nellie I believe.

If I could find my Mom's grandparents I would be greatful to any and all answers.

I have found a little more information about Sarah. Apparently, she and her husband( ? Dowling) lived in Minnesota. He died at a fairly young age and she raised their 7 children. I will post the children's names when I get home. We have lost the line past this point. I would appreciate any help in finding more information. Thanks LaDale.

I am looking for information about a Mary Elizabeth Watson who was married to a Dowling in the mid 1800s. I don't have his name. He died rather young and she raised their 7 children. One son's name was John Joseph and he married Sophie Louise Gilland. Can anyone help me find more info?

When I was looking for Sarah, I had the name wrong. Her name is Mary Elizabeth Watson. She was born in 1836. She was married to a Dowling(whose first name we don't have). They had 9 children but I only know one son's name, John Joseph born in the middle 1850's. He married Sophie Gilland(Gulland? or Guilland?). I think my mom has Mary's parents name but I don't have that info with me right now. I would like to find any possible brothers or sisters to John Joseph.Thanks for getting back with me. LaDale

I have found more information on Mary
Elizabeth Watson who was married to a
Dowling who may have come from Ireland.
She was born on Aug 7, 1836. I
believe that this was somewhere in PA.
She died around Aug 17, 1920. I have the
names of 5 of her children. They are John
Joseph (my greatgrandfather), Murry, Addie,
Sidney, and Myrtle. There are 2 more children
that I don't have names for. John Joseph was
born near Marine Mills, MN. I believe that
Mary died in MN, as well. Can anyone help me

Mrs. Eliza Dowling Antry Dies
Mrs. Eliza Dowling Antry died at her home in Callao Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock after a several days' illness, having suffered stroke about a week ago. She had been in failing health for several years. Her husband, Frank B. Antry died eleven years ago. She leaves one foster son, Charles P. Johnson and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment in the old cemetery.
