Research Note: Grounds for high probability that Andrew (24957) is son of Andrew:
1. 1901 census birth shown as 1854;
2. 1911 census birth shown as 1854;
3. 1901 census shows considerable age gap between Andrew and Kate;
4. 1911 census shows very considerable age gap between Andrew and Katie;
5. 1911 census corroborates 1895 as marriage date;
6. 1895 is only marriage with an Andrew Dowling and a Kate;
7. 1895 marriage shows father of Andrew as Andrew of Clonmeen.
Therefore, I consider it more likely that Andrew (24957) was born in 1853 to Andrew Dowling & Judith Kennedy. I find it less likely that Andrew (24957) was born in 1878 as, while this would be a closer age gap match to Kate, the family have made it clearto enumerators in four separate entries that there is a large age gap. This would appear to disqualify the hypothesis that Andrew (24957) is the son of Andrew Dowling and Anne Davin and that Andrew Dowling (24957 is not the same person as Andrew Dowling (36431) born in 1878 ro Andrew and Anne Davin.
